About Us:
The Temecula Rangers Youth Track Club was created in 2009 to provide a safe, affordable, and healthy sports fitness program for the children of Southern Riverside County.  During 2008 / 2009 the economic downturn has hit Riverside County particularly hard and many parents have had to eliminate spending on youth athletic programs just to make ends meet. One of the foundations of the Temecula Rangers Track Club is to make the sport of competitive running affordable to many young athletes. Our goal is to have one of lowest cost running programs available in Southern California. The Temecula Rangers Track Club is a not for profit organization and we exist because of the gracious efforts of our volunteers.

We also realize that many Track and Field clubs tend to focus most of their coaching and development efforts on their “elite” athletes and the younger and less seasoned athletes don’t get much attention. It is our mission to provide focus and guidance on the development of the younger and up-and-coming runners. We will do this 2 USATF Registered Coaches and through a mentoring program whereby experienced Track and Cross Country Runners will help to guide the development of the “rookie” athletes. We will also involve the local High School Track Teams to help mentor and coach our younger athletes. Top Athletes will have the opportunity to excel at Regional & National Championships as well as the California State Games.

The Track and Field season runs from March to June and Cross Country begins in September until late November. USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships are in July and USATF National Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships are in December.

USATF Age Divisions
USATF age divisions are based on the athlete's year of birth, not his/her age on race-day. Other organizations, such as the AAU differ in their definition of age categories. All athletes competing in USATF-sanctioned events such as Association, Regional and National championships must have a valid membership card which may be purchased directly from the USATF website.
